What a special group! In 2019 this group represented WMS at the state competition for the first time. This year the team double qualified for the state competition. 2020 State Result: 4th best team in the state! Great job athletes and coaches! Enjoy your hardware!
Washington Middle School Wrestling News: On Tuesday, January 7 the team competed at East Peoria Central. Washington won that dual 77-24. On Thursday, the team traveled to Normal to compete against Chiddix, Washington won 48-45, and Kingsley, Washington won 64-24.
On Saturday, the team competed in the Olympia Invitational Tournament. While weather was a factor and we were not able to compete with a full line-up, we still brought home a second place team trophy. Just 4.5 team points separated Washington from the 1st place team, Leroy.
There is a home meet at WCHS on Tuesday, January 14 at 5:00pm against DeeMack. Wrestlers are to report by 3:45. There will not be a bus. On Saturday the team travels to Eureka for a dual team tournament.
The WMS Cheerleading Team double qualified for the ICCA State Competition. Good luck this weekend!

Teen Conference
66 WMS students attended Teen Conference today! They loved the keynote speaker and breakout sessions. Great event!
Teen Conference Information: Registered students will travel to ICC on Thursday. Pizza will be provided and students should wear their shirt!
Color Guard Winter Clinics begin Feb. 4 for students in grades 7-12, regardless of experience. Clinics will run on Tuesdays until March 10. All clinics will be held in the MPR at WCHS from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
