IL Learning Standards for Science

STEMScopes

District 52 has implemented the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in Grades 1-8. In Grades K-4, the science standards are taught through our Core Knowledge Language Arts ELA curriculum, which is content based. In Grades 5-8 we are using the STEMscopes curriculum. Students in Grades 5 and 8 take the IL Science Assessment (ISA) in the Spring each year.
