Spark your child’s curiosity and confidence at Camp Invention! The 2024 program, Illuminate, is coming to D52 for the very first time! It is geared towards all students entering 1st - 6th grade next year and will be held at WMS from June 10-14 from 9:00 - 3:30 daily. Students will collaborate with friends in hands-on STEM adventures designed to inspire creativity and provide an awesome summer experience. The last date for the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey to be taken by parents is March 29, 2024. To take the Parent Survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the Parent Survey to begin. It should take between 10-15 minutes to complete. We would love your feedback!

November 15th marks the official statewide observance of School Board Members Day in Illinois. Each year, this day is an opportunity to show support for our board of education and the individual school board members who are committed to providing a local voice for your educational decisions. School board members are volunteers serving as advocates striving for quality education opportunities for every student. Our board members act as front-line advocates providing a local voice for the community, a vision for the district, and a pathway to success for our students. The Importance of School Lunch
Even though National School Lunch Week was declared in 1962, the National School Lunch Program goes back even further, back to 1946. Created to provide nutritious meals to children from low-income families who might not otherwise have access to a daily meal, NSLP ensures the health and well-being of all public school students, boosts academic performance by giving students the fuel they need to succeed, and closes the opportunity gap for children across the country. Today, the National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day. Not only does it reduce childhood hunger, but it also supports American agriculture.
